International students come and leave but their books, furniture, kitchen equipment and other things stay... so why not to pass it to the next generation of the Erasmus and international students coming to Vienna?

ESN Uni Wien organised Erasmus Flea Market last Thursday where international students got a unique opportunity to go shopping and find something nice for their new home.

We asked the "old" exchange students and our team to donate/collect
"old stuff" that could be useful or interesting for the new incomings.
There weren't a lot of exchange students who donated, but the team
could collect a nice selection of items :) We had about 3 tables of
small things like vases, cups, candles, DVDs, a CD-player, CD
holders...but also bigger things like a carpet and a desk. (While
collecting bigger stuff by car, we realized that this has a greater
potential if we would just dedicate some more time to collecting, so we
decided to do a bigger flea market with a lot more promotion during the
second orientation week in the beginning of March)

The profit of the event was 81 more euros for Give20!!

We sold things at an adequate price (everything between 1 and 15 €). Some people actually gave us more than we asked for, because of the fact that the money goes to the children. And the nice doorman of the residence just gave us a 5 euro bank note without actually buying anything :)
